Clapham Vet - Experienced David Cuffe

David Cuffe is an experienced London vet based in Clapham, South London. David has been practising as a veterinary surgeon for more than thirty years. He passes this experience on as his practice is a training centre for veterinary students. David Cuffe set up his first surgery in 1978.

As a person, David is very sociable which is perhaps not surprising being Irish. He is passionate about animals and has a small puppy himself. He strives to educate his clients in the care of their pets.

Like all pet carers, including ourselves, David expects all his clients to have their animals vaccinated regularly, to regularly worm their dogs and cats and to make sure their pets are microchipped. For those animals that go outside, he expects them to be treated on an ongoing basis for fleas and external parasites. He also strongly advises pet owners to take out pet insurance.

Later this year, David Cuffe will be sharing his veterinary experience with a wider clientele when he opens a new veterinary clinic north of the river.

Parking:

There are free 30 minute parking bays all down both sides of Abbeville Road, so it is now generally possible to park right outside the door.

Housecalls:

David will do house calls when necessary and these are scheduled at less busy times. For emergencies, it is nearly always in the animal's best interest to bring them to the vet. He can recommend a veterinary ambulance.

Emergency Service:

Outside normal hours, clients can use one of two Emergency Clinics.

In-Patients:

The majority of Claphma vet patients are seen on an out-patient basis. This usually means that they are admitted in the morning and discharged the same day
